SHARELIFE SUNDAY
ShareLife Celebrates 50 years!
Through ShareLife, you are the light in someone’s darkest moment
Sarah arrived at the doors of one of the Catholic Family Services agencies you support through ShareLife on a desperate afternoon with her baby cradled tightly against her chest. Fleeing an abusive home, she had nothing but the clothes on her back and a fragile hope that someone might help. Because of your generous spirit, Sarah and her baby found the safety they so desperately needed when shelters were overwhelmed.
Your kindness provided the essentials to care for her baby, the counselling to begin healing, and the support to rebuild their lives. Now she and her baby are safe, cared for, and starting to look toward a brighter future. Yet, domestic violence is on the rise and countless others like Sarah are still in need. Your compassion has the power to change many more lives. It is because of people like you that their stories do not end in fear but begin again with love.
So far, we have raised $36,730.00 towards our goal of $78,500.00. Thank you for your support!
You may give to the parish campaign anytime - at the parish using a ShareLife envelope, or

A PRAYER FOR MOTHERS
All-loving God,
we give you thanks and praise
for mothers young and old.
We pray for young mothers,
who give life and count toes
and tend to our every need;
May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.
We pray for our own mothers
who have nurtured and cared for us;
May they continue to guide in strong and gentle ways.
We remember mothers who are separated
from their children because of war,
poverty, or conflict;
May they feel the loving embrace of
our God who wipes every tear away.
We pray for women who are not mothers
but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.
We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory
and nourish us with their love.
Heidi Busse
To all our parish children/youth who have received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and who will be entering grade 3 or above in September…
You are invited to become Altar Servers! Please pick up an altar server application form - which can be found at the back of the church - and submit the completed form to the parish office or give it to an usher at any Mass. Training will be provided. Questions? Speak to Fr. Joseph or Fr. Peter.
POPE'S PASTORAL WORKS COLLECTION - May 16/17, 2026
NEXT weekend there will be a special collection for the Pope’s Pastoral Works. These funds are passed on to the Holy Father for immediate response in countries stricken by war, famine and natural disasters. The Pope’s Pastoral Works displays Christ’s love and compassion for people in desperate need. Please give with a generous heart.
CANADA HEALTH DAY – May 12
Canada Health Day is celebrated in health care facilities and community services across the country. This day reminds us that health and healing are essential aspects of our baptismal vocation. We are called to take responsibility for our personal health: to prevent illness and to seek a healthy lifestyle. Health means concern for the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of our communities, respect for God's creatures and the nurturing of the whole earth. - Ordo 2025-2026. p. 133
THANK YOU
We wish to thank all who helped and all who gave most generously to the Coins for Life campaign. The total collected was $1,500.
The National March for Life in Ottawa on May 14th celebrates God’s great born and pre-born gift of life to every individual, and indeed, to all of humanity. It also brings our attention to the detrimental affects of the present anti-life culture. The theme of the march this year is “Follow Me” – the words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. -St. Cecilia Campaign Life Coalition
