21 May 2023 – Ascension of our Lord

WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY

MAY 21

On this day, Catholics are invited to reflect upon the media (films, radio, television, newspapers, audiovisuals) and how these influence our lives. The media can promote values that lead to a more fully human society. The media can be used to help promote the Gospel.

World Day of Prayer for the Church in China

Thursday, May 24th

In May 2007, Pope Benedict XVI asked that May 24 be observed as a Day of Prayer of the Church In China. He chose this day since it is the traditional Feast of Our Lady of Help of Christians, venerated at the Shrine of Sheshan in Shanghai.

SHARELIFE AND WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY

ShareLife Logo

On this World Communications Day, your support of ShareLife is improving the lives of Deaf people in our community.

More than 60% of families with a Deaf child do not know or use a signing language. Silent Voice, a ShareLife agency, is able to provide an array of accessible programs and services, responding to the needs of Deaf adults, youth, children, infants, and their families in American Sign Language (ASL). This is because of you. The help and support you give brings hope and changes many lives. Thank you for your generosity.

Our parish goal this year is: $58, 000.00

So far, we have raised: $36, 621.00

Thank you for your generosity! Those wishing to contribute to our parish campaign may donate with an envelope at Mass, online via the Archdiocesan parish website: https://stceciliasto.archtoronto.org/

OR at: sharelife.org/donate. Thank you!

The next ShareLife Sunday is June 4th
