St. Patrick’s Mass and Celebration of March 1, 2020

 

Thank you to our principal celebrant and homilist, His Excellency, Bishop Robert Kasun, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto.  Also, we were pleased to have as our concelebrants Fr. Leo Burns, Fr. Larry Marcille, our Associate Pastor Fr. Dominic Bui Quyen, and our Pastor Fr. Joseph Tap Tran.  We are also grateful for the service of Nino Clivio, who assisted so very ably on the altar.

This year we were delighted to have as our honoured guest Eithne Heffernan, representing the Irish Embassy.

Particular thanks to Johnson Irish Dance, our musical guests, Harpist and Soloist Eithne Heffernan, Piper Raymond Caldwell, the St. Cecilia's children's choir under the direction of Amy LaFroy, and Organist Peter Treen, and the St. Cecilia Church Choir. Special mention goes to all who donated the delicious baked goods, those who helped with the setting up and decorating of the hall, all who prepared the sandwiches and pizza, and all who all who acted as hostesses for the reception. A big welcome back and thank-you to Maria Ruccolo who made a return to prepare her delicious pizza.  A great big thank you to each and every one who assisted at and attended the Mass.

Stations of the Cross

On Fridays during Lent, after morning Mass, the Celebrant will lead the Stations of the Cross except on First Fridays when the faithful may offer Stations of the Cross privately.

NEW ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED

Are you a student in gr. 3 or above who has received the Sacrament of First Communion? You are eligible to serve at Mass!  The parish is in need of altar servers to serve at Sunday Masses.  Please consider sharing your talents in this way.  Training will be provided. Contact the office or speak with Fr. Joseph  for details. There are registration forms on the bulletin board at the back of the church. Thank-you!


2019 Donation Tax RECEIPTS

Donation Tax Receipts for the Year 2019 have been prepared (for donations of $20 or more over the year) and will be available for pick up at the back of the church NEXT weekend.  We thank all those who make their sacrificial offering each week.  In particular we thank those who remember that church expenses don't go away, and make up for missed offerings on the weekends when they are away!

Please write the amount of your offering each week on your envelope, to ensure that you receive proper credit for your donations in 2020.

Tax Receipts for those who donated to St. Vincent de Paul or participated in the SVDP Christmas Star Campaign will also be available.
