Confirmation 2023-2024

We invite parents/guardians of parishioner children in grade 7 or 8 who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2024 to register for our Confirmation preparation program.

     REGISTRATION OPENS: Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

     REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, December 15, 2023 or earlier if we reach capacity.

     To register, complete the on-line registration form.

Registration is open to parishioner families. Students from our parish schools (St. Cecilia and St. Rita) who are not St. Cecilia parishioners are welcome to prepare here but must request a letter of permission from their home pastor.

 

ALSO REQUIRED

1. A copy of your child's Baptism Certificate (if not baptized at St. Cecilia Church).  You may email it to the parish office: stceciliatoronto@gmail.com or drop off with the fee.

2. $50 program fee. Payable by cash or check made payable to St. Cecilia's Church. This must be dropped off at the parish office at 161 Annette Street - the HOUSE east of the Church. Please include the child's full name and indicate the Sacrament for which they are preparing.

2023-2024 CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME INFORMATION

The program will consist of the initial meeting, enrolment ceremony, 8 Tuesday evening classes, Sunday 11 a.m. Mass attendance, Saturday Retreat in Lent, Confirmation Rehearsal with sponsors, and the Confirmation Mass.

 

INITIAL MEETING
Tuesday, January 16, 2024 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Church Hall with children and their parent(s)/guardian(s). Resources and schedule will be distributed.

ENROLMENT CEREMONY
Sunday, January 21 2024 @ 11 a.m. Mass

CLASSES
Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (January 23 - April 2, 2024)

HOPESTONE RETREAT DAY
Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the Church Hall - time to be advised.

CONFIRMATION REHEARSAL (with sponsors}
Thursday, April 11, 2024 , p.m., time TBD

CONFIRMATION CELEBRATION MASS
Friday, April 12, 2024 at 7 p.m.
