11 May 2025 – Fourth Sunday of Easter

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS – MAY 11

On this day, Christians are invited to reflect on the meaning of God’s call and to pray for vocations. Christ continues to lead people through His Bishops. Priests, diaconal (and religious) and calls many to follow him in this way. Priestly, diaconal and religious vocations should be a constant concern in the heart of God’s people. MESSAGE FOR MOTHER'S DAY 2025 (excerpt)

His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto

... On this Mother’s Day I wish to extend my blessing on all mothers. Thank you for everything you do for your families, the Church and the world. Through your daily acts of love, often hidden and humble but profoundly meaningful, you witness to God’s love and are a sign of hope in the world. I encourage and pray for you and all mothers who embrace their vocation. May you seek daily to build the foundation of your children’s lifelong relationship with God and be beacons of hope in the world. Please know that you are loved and appreciated and that your motherhood is not only important, it is sacred. May the Blessed Mother intercede and inspire you every day as “Catholic Moms”, may your love for the Risen Lord increase daily, and may you continue your Pilgrimage of Hope in this life as an inspirational example of God’s love whose fullness we will experience in the life to come.

God bless our mothers powerfully and abundantly.

Father Joseph,

May the Lord bless you. May he fill your life with his joy and sustain you by his grace. Thank you for your faithful service to the people of God.

Congratulations on the 25th Anniversary of your Ordination! - The St. Cecilia Parish Community

SHARE LIFE - FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

World Day of Prayers for Vocations
Sow the seeds of hope for the next generation

Our 2025 ShareLife goal is: $63,500.00. So far, we have raised: $35,059.00

The future of the Church depends on men and women heroically answering God’s call. When you support ShareLife, you enable the discernment, formation and education of those who will serve in our parishes through the Office of Vocations and seminaries. Your kindness makes it possible for future priests to attend St. Augustine's Seminary and the Redemptoris Mater Missionary Seminary where they learn to tend to the Lord’s vineyard and work for the salvation of souls. In addition, St. Augustine’s Seminary educates permanent deacons and lay people serving our parishes. Thank you for your prayers and commitment towards young people on their journeys of faith.

CANADA HEALTH DAY - MAY 12

All Christians should celebrate and pray for the gift of health - physical, emotional, social and spiritual…health and healing are essential aspects of our baptismal vocation. We are called to take responsibility for our personal health: to prevent illness and to seek a healthy lifestyle.
