A basket will be available at the base of the altar for your All Souls' Envelopes. On the envelope, write the names of deceased family members and friends and enclose your offering. Place envelopes in the basket. The office staff will enter those listed on the envelopes into the Book Of Souls. The book and the basket will remain at the altar for the month of November and those named therein will be prayed for at all Masses during the month of November. All Souls envelopes are available at the back of the church.

All Souls' Day, also called The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, is a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed, observed by Catholics on November 2. Through prayer, intercessions, alms and visits to cemeteries, people commemorate their loved ones that have passed. Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services, Archdiocese of Toronto, wishes to invite all families to participate in the All Souls’ Day Mass. All Masses will be held indoors at the following locations:

Christ the King Cemetery, Markham
Reception Centre
Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill
Holy Family Mausoleum

ROSARY APOSTOLATE IN THE SCHOOLS
The Rosary Apostolate in the schools is seeking volunteers (men or women) who have a devotion to the mother of God and who are willing to visit our elementary schools to pray the rosary with the children once a month. Training will be provided. If interested, please contact:

PIZZA SUNDAY
Thank you to everyone who came out for Pizza Sunday last Sunday. We raised $810 for our Restoration fund through pizza sales and the 50/50 draw. Aileen Achong was the lucky winner of the 50/50 draw. She very generously donated her $119 winnings to the fund.
DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA CANDLE SALE

The Daughters of Isabella will be selling large red votive candles for home use after all Masses the last 2 weekends of October. The cost is $10 per candle. Fr. Joseph will be available to bless the candles after purchase.
They may be used to remember your deceased family and friends during the month of November.

RECONCILIATION/FIRST COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION 2024-2025
The deadline for registration is next Friday.
Parents/legal guardians of children currently in Grade 2 or above who wish to receive First Communion in the Spring of 2025 and parishioner families with children in grade 7 or 8 who wish to celebrate Confirmation in 2025 are invited to register for preparation through our parish website: saintcecilia.ca
DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 5, 2024 or earlier if we reach capacity
Non-parishioners registering for Confirmation require a letter of permission from their pastor to prepare for Confirmation in this parish.

CHORISTERS WANTED!
The parish choir invites people of all ages with an interest in singing to join the choir. All experience levels are welcome! Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7 p.m. and the choir sings at the 11 a.m. Mass on Sundays.
