25 May 2025 – Sixth Sunday of Easter

A NOTE ON PRAYER

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops have produced a short note on prayer with resources. This will be of help to all as we seek to grow in the life of prayer.

INFO: https://www.archtoronto.org/siteassets/media/archdiocese-of-toronto-main-site/files/resources/note-on-prayer_en-2025-04-22.pdf

Prayer is a universal human activity. It can be found in every country, in every period of human history, at every age of life. It expresses the awareness of a relationship with a Being greater than oneself, distinct from oneself, present within oneself. Christian prayer is clearly marked by faith in God who has made himself known, not only as the Creator of the universe, but as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The faithful pray to the Father through the Son in the Spirit”. - CCCB Ad Hoc Committee for the Preparation of the Jubilee

THE POPE’S PASTORAL WORKS COLLECTION

Next Weekend May 24/25, 2025

This collection provides an opportunity for Catholics to make a financial offering to assist the Holy Father. One-third of the funds collected is what is traditionally know as Peter’s Pence: donations used by the Pope for his charitable contributions to those most in need throughout the world as well as for the support of the Hole See and its activities. Two-thirds of the collection is to support the Holy Father in administering the Holy See and serving the Universal Church. Information about how this collection is used is available in the Holy See’s yearly financial report. ORDO 2024-2024, p 141

SHARE LIFE - SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

Your love can help others thrive.
Our 2025 ShareLife goal is: $63,500.00.
So far, we have raised: $35,673.00

Mental health challenges can impact anyone, whether you're personally navigating them or supporting someone who is. These struggles transcend age and circumstance. Brenda was weighed down by shame, having battled anxiety and depression for decades. Through your support, she found a new perspective at a Catholic Family Services agency funded by ShareLife, where counselling lifted her up and allowed her to see her own worth.

Your compassion is instrumental in helping others see themselves as God sees them: loving, important, and enough. Thank you for living the Gospel by helping relieve the pain of those facing silent battles.
