The Path: Your Journey through Indigenous Canada
This is an online course of five self-directed modules totalling six hours. The course, developed by Nvision, Canada's leading indigenous consulting firm, covers the history of European contact, residential schools, treaties, the Indian Act, and its impact in contemporary times.

The Archdiocese has arranged for enrollment of The Path by clergy, staff, and parishioners.
If you are interested in enrolling, please contact the office to request enrollment. The reduced rate fee for enrollment in the programme is $100/person.
CHORISTERS WANTED!
With Covid restrictions slowly easing, we have been given the green light to resume our choir programme here at the church. It's been 2 years since the choir last participated in Mass here at St. Cecilia's and we look forward to a reboot in anticipation of Holy Week and Easter! We invite any parishioners with an interest in singing to consider joining us. Singers of all ages and levels of experience are welcome. Along with the 11 a.m. Sunday Mass, there is typically one evening rehearsal during the week.

A day of reflection for men and women. Grieving a loved one can shake or give a new shape to our faith. At this gathering, you will have the opportunity to share your grief story in a community of faith and to reflect in a prayerful way on your experience, to draw renewed strength and hope to continue the journey.

Development and Peace People and Planet First Campaign
Standing Up To Corporate Power In Honduras
The People and Planet First campaign is about helping communities stand up to corporate power. In Honduras, as corporations often threaten and criminalize activists who speak up against their abuses. The Lenca Indigenous leader Víctor Vásquez was imprisoned for fighting the corporate takeover of his people’s ancestral territory. Development and Peace’s partner, the Honduran Centre for the Promotion of Community Development (CEHPRODEC), helped free him from jail. All children born in 2018 are eligible to attend Kindergarten
The Toronto Catholic District School Board invites parents to register their children for Junior Kindergarten beginning January 19th, 2022 at 10:00 am E.S.T.
All applications must be submitted online only at soar.tcdsb.org.
The following documents are required for registration:
- Child's Birth Certificate (or Certificate of Citizenship/Landed Immigrant Status)
- Child's Catholic Baptismal Certificate (or proof of parent's Catholicity)
- Proof of residency in Toronto (2 documents)
- Application for Catholic School Support (completed at the school)
FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF THE PARISH DURING THIS TIME
Weekly envelopes may be used - mailed to the parish or dropped off: 161 Annette Street, Toronto, ON M6P 1P5.

You choose St. Cecilia from a list of parishes and the Archdiocese directs your donation to our parish. The parish receives a monthly report of all donations made via this method. Tax receipts are issued to donors at year end by the Archdiocese (one-time gifts are receipted at time of giving).
Pre-Authorised giving A set donation figure of your choosing is withdrawn from your bank account on the 20th of each month. Please contact the parish office to set this up.

Dear parishioners,
I hope and pray that you are staying healthy – both physically and spiritually. Please let me know if the parish can help you during these difficult times.
No doubt you are aware that our parish relies on the support of our parishioners to operate – parish salaries, programs and ongoing operating costs (heating, water, electricity, etc.) – are funded through the generosity of our parish community. It will be a challenge for our parish to maintain operations without the weekly offertory collection.
In response to many queries that I have received from parishioners, I offer below some of the ways that you may continue to support our parish if you are in a position to do so. I recognise that many of you, like the parish, are experiencing financial strain at this time and I pray that those stresses are soon eased for you.
For those in a position to continue to give to our parish, the easiest on-line options would be through the Archdiocese Donate Now link. Through this link you can give to the parish by credit card.
