Distribution of Ashes
This is a universal day of fasting and of abstinence from meat. The law of abstinence from meat binds those who are 14 and older; the law of fasting binds those from 18 to 59 years of age. Parents and educators are reminded of their duty to introduce children gradually to the understanding and practice of penance.

McNamara is Associate Professor of Sacramental Aesthetics and Academic . He makes a specialty of bridging the gap between the Church’s great artistic tradition and the documents of the Second Vatican Council. He has also done ground-breaking research on scriptural understandings of architecture and the sacramental meaning of the classical architectural tradition. COINS FOR LIFE 2019 CAMPAIGN LIFE COALITION
